It is “a little tiring trying to bring in that kind of charm which existed 20 years ago,” according to Shah Rukh Khan. He declared his desire to make another action movie.

Shah Rukh discusses his upcoming movie.

Regarding his upcoming movie, Shah Rukh declared, “I’m going to start one in March or April right now. I’m currently trying to make a movie that feels more like my own age, and I want to play the lead and the main character in it. It’s possible to play both the age and the star role in Indian films, which is something I believe is one of the few things we missed out on.Because doing what I used to do, which is attempt to bring in that kind of charm that was there twenty years ago, does get a bit old. I believe I might have a new appeal that is more relevant to my age. I’d like to work on an action movie again.”

Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki, and Shah Rukh

Shah Rukh stated about Dunki and Rajkumar, “It’s a very heartfelt film.” It’s about life, about returning home, and about the things that take us away from home. To be really honest, Rajkumar Hirani is what makes you want to watch one of his films.” Shah Rukh also mentioned how scheduling and health concerns prevented him from doing Munna Bhai MBBS and 3 Idiots, despite his agreement to do both.

About Dunki

On Thursday, Rajkumar Hirani’s film Dunki was launched in cinemas. Industry tracker Sacnilk.com reports that on its first day, it brought in ₹30 crore nett at the domestic box office. The comedy-drama Dunki is based on the ‘donkey flight’ method of illegal immigration. Anil Grover, Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Taapsee Pannu are also featured. Dunki, which is being billed as a story about friendships, boundaries, and a yearning for one’s hometown and love, is being directed by Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon, from a script they co-wrote.

Shah Rukh stars in the movie, which is his final and third release of 2023 after two consecutive action-packed blockbusters, Jawan and Pathaan. Dunki’s first-day revenues are far less than those of Pathaan and Jawan, which were ₹55 crore and ₹65.5 crore, respectively.
