Regarding the charge made by the Congress that the BJP is exploiting the Ayodhya Ram temple ceremony for “political motives,” Harbhajan Singh responded, “That is a different matter.”

On Friday, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh reaffirmed his intention to attend the Ram temple in Ayodhya, calling the great mandir’s January 22 “historic day” for its “pran-pratishtha” ritual. The Rajya Sabha MP also made fun of the Congress for turning down their invitation to the Ayodhya temple’s Ram Lalla idol consecration ceremony.

Regarding the Congress’s charge that the BJP is exploiting the temple event for “political purposes,” Harbhajan Singh responded, “That is a different matter.” However, it is appropriate that the temple be inaugurated. It is ultimately up to the Congress to decide whether or not to send representatives there. Whoever chooses to travel there is at their discretion. Personally, I’ll attend the Ram temple without a doubt, and those who have objections are free to voice them in whatever way they see suitable.

Harbhajan also urged everyone to attend the function in big numbers.

“My best wishes to the nation’s citizens. There is going to be a pran pratishtha. It is best for as many individuals to attend the ceremony and seek blessings as possible. Today is historic. All people belong to Lord Ram. The fact that Lord Ram’s temple is being built in the location of his birth is significant. The former Indian spin sensation stated, “Everyone should go.”

Harbhajan congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the temple is being constructed under his direction.

“I firmly believe in God and religion. I go to every gurudwara, madrasa, and mandir to ask for blessings. Whenever I have the opportunity, I shall go to the temple. It is without question. We are fortunate that the temple is being dedicated while we are still alive. He stated, “I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose direction the temple is being built.

Congress turns down an invitation to the Ram shrine

Congressmen who had previously “respectfully declined” the invitation “for the Ram temple inauguration,” referring to it as a “BJP-RSS” event, included Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

The RSS and the BJP have turned the January 22 event at the Ram temple in Ayodhya into “a completely political Narendra Modi function,” according to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who also said earlier on Tuesday that it is challenging for Congress leaders “to go to a political function which is designed around the Prime Minister of India and the RSS.”

Yogi Adityanath inspects arrangements

With the pran pratishtha ritual of Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi on January 22, Ayodhya is a hive of activity. Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, expressed satisfaction with the planning and execution of the arrangements during his Friday inspection in Ayodhya.

On Thursday, chanting of “Jai Shri Ram” accompanied the placement of the statue of Ram Lalla in the Ram temple’s “Garbha Griha.”
