Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar engaged in a poster war in Patna when the Grand Alliance government in Bihar fell, with each attempting to claim credit for the accomplishments made under their combined leadership. RJD cited eighteen of Tejashwi’s accomplishments, but Nitish referred to his former deputy as a ‘bachcha’. JD(U) refuted RJD’s assertions with an advertisement that highlighted Nitish’s accomplishments.

PATNA: Following the collapse of the Grand Alliance (GA) government in Bihar last week, former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav of the RJD and chief minister Nitish Kumar engaged in a poster war in Patna to claim ownership of the significant projects completed during the 17 months of their combined reign in the state.
Nitish referred to Tejashwi, his former deputy, as a “bachcha,” whereas RJD praised Tejashwi for the initiatives undertaken during that time.

JD(U) thanked its leader Nitish for his unwavering contributions to the state’s growth.
RJD is attempting to demonstrate that the 17-month-old GA government outperformed the state’s 17-year-old NDA rule.

Tejashwi, thank you for delivering on promises with 4 lakh government jobs and a caste survey in Bihar. Reservation limit increased to 75%, granting state employee status to over 4 lakh contractual teachers. Significant strides in education with the foundation for quality education laid during Tejashwi’s leadership. Implementation of a “bring medals, get jobs” scheme to encourage athletes and promote sports. Introduction of policies for tourism, IT, and sports, attracting large projects and investments to Bihar.

But Nitish called these accusations “bogus” and claimed he was the one who carried out all of that. “Every session I scheduled during that time was a component of my Seven Resolves-Part-2 regimen. However, someone else is now attempting to claim credit for it. Just set it aside, Arre Chhodiye Na! Wednesday, Nitish told the journalists.

Nitish also made an effort to refute all of these allegations made against Tejashwi, saying, Bachcha hai…usko kya pata hai (he is a child who doesn’t know anything).

Nitish compared his leadership to the RJD’s “misrule.” He stated that before 2005, RJD was in control for 15 years. During this period, from March 1990 to March 2005, the general state of affairs was extremely “frightening.”

Nitish made reference to Tejashwi’s parents Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi’s rule, saying, “No one would dare to move out of their homes after sunset then.”

Former minister and JD(U) leader Ashok Choudhary had earlier refuted RJD’s assertions with an advertisement titled “Mera Neta Mera Abhiman.” Along with mentioning the Bihar chief minister’s sixteen accomplishments, Choudhary subtly called him “Vikas Purush.”

The state budget increased from Rs23,800 crores in 2005 to Rs2,61,885.4 lakh crores in 2023–24, he said. Other accomplishments included the introduction of the free cycle-uniform scheme, the provision of power and water to every home, the reservation of jobs for girls in government, and the employment of 5 lakh youths in various government departments.
